Barisal: Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) authorities restricted movement of motor ferry, ML type which widths less than 65feet in the Southern part of the country.

The restriction has been imposed from 10:30am on Thursday as level 2 alert is shown at the water ports due to adverse weather.

Barisal port official Akhteruzzaman said BIWTA decided to put the restriction as it is risky for the water vehicles, which are lower than 65feet, to move in extreme weather condition.
