No alliance forged with Hefazat: Quader
Dhaka: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader on Thursday said their party neither made any compromise nor entered into any alliance with Hefajat-e-Islam Bangladesh.
"The government only recognised a Qawmi degree. Nothing else is with Hefajat. We've to accept the Qawmi education in the present context," he told a press conference at AL president's Dhanmondi political office.
About Khaleda Zia's remarks on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's recent visit to India, Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said the BNP Chairperson was providing false information as part of a conspiracy to make the tour questionable.
At a press conference on Wednesday, Khaleda Zia described the PM's India visit as a 'failed one of only giving and not getting anything'.
Qauder described Sheikh Hasina's tour as a very effective and fruitful one.
