Dinajpur boiler blast kills one, burns 29
A female worker was killed and 29 people suffered burn injuries in a boiler explosion at a rice mill in Gopalganj of Sadar upazila on Wednesday.
Police and locals said the boiler went off with a big bang at ‘Jamuna Auto Rice Mill’ around 11:00am, leaving 30 workers, including Anjana Bibi, 30, injured with burns, reports UNB.
Locals rescued the victims and took 23 of them to M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital where doctors declared Anjana dead.
Later, 14 injured were shifted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital as their condition deteriorated.
Officer-in charge of Kotwali Police Station Redwanur Rahim said they were looking into the incident.
