Dhaka: The government on Sunday appointed Abdul Motaleb Sarker, currently serving as the Director General in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the new Ambassador of Bangladesh to Lebanon.

In his diplomatic career, Motaleb Sarker served in Bangladesh missions in Beijing, Paris, Rabat and Los-Angeles in different capacities, said a Foreign Ministry media release.
