Dhaka: Based on primary information and interrogation, Detective Branch (DB) of Police has found the involvement of lawmaker Pinu Khan’s son Boktiar Rony in the double murder incident in capital, said DB joint commissioner Monirul Islam on Monday.

Monirul said the car, from which the firing took place, has been seized. Rony and his aides were present on the spot during the incident. Police confirmed it based on mobile location tracking system.

Monirul also denied the allegation of efforts to save Rony from the case.

DB joint commissioner said based on the information and the confession of the driver, there is no doubt that Rony is the prime accused in the case. It will be confirmed whether Rony himself opened the firing after the ballistic test of the arms that was used.

Monirul said two of the four present on the spot are absconding now. Efforts are on to arrest them.
