Sunamganj: Three siblings drowned in a pond of Lauregarh village in Tahirpur upazila of Sunamganj on Monday, sending a wave of shock across the village.

The deceased are Amin, 10, his two brothers Shamim, 8, and Al Amin, 6.

Tahirpur Police officer-in-charge M Shahidullah said the three brothers fell into the water at about 4:00pm while playing on the bank of the pond near their house.

Later, locals recovered the floating bodies of the trio from the pond at about 5:00pm.
