Jhenaidah: Three people were held in a case filed over sexually abusing two women at Kotchandpur in Jhenaidah.

The detainees are Shaheen, Krishnapada Das, and Rajib.

One of the victims filed a case with Kotchandpur police on Wednesday morning, said the police station’s Officer-in-charge (OC) Biplob Kumar Shaha.

Quoting the case statement, the OC said two women were waiting for the train at Kotchandpur Railway Station at about 11:30pm on 5 May, when five men, including the arrestees, took them to a nearby mango orchard and violated them.

The police officer said police held three of the accused after conducting a drive at Kotchangpur Sadar.

However, the women were sent to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital for medical test.
