Natore: Popular Bangladeshi stand-up comedian Abu Hena Rony, who was the champion of Indian Zee Bangla’s comedy show Mirakkel Akkel Challenger-6, has been sued for allegedly posting a derogatory comment about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on social networking site Facebook.

Awami Jubo League Natore’s Singra upzila unit joint secretary Hafizur Rahman Sabuj filed the case under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act on Thursday.

Singra Police Station Officer-in-charge Abdullah Al Mamun said Jubo League Sabuj filed the case against Rony for posting a status on his Facebook account defaming the prime minister.

Rony, son of Abdul Latif, is the resident of Bildahar village of Chamari union council in the upazila.
