Blasts cause 5 militants’ death in Rajshahi: Autopsy report

Bombs and gunshots caused death of five suspected militants, including a woman, during an operation codenamed ‘Sun Devil’ in Matikata ‘militant den’ of Godagari upazila in Rajshahi, said doctors after autopsy.
Assistant Professor Enamul Haque of forensic department of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital said that there were injury marks of bombs and burn injury marks in the bellies of militants Sajjad Hossain and Ashraful, reports UNB.
Doctors suspected that they carried bombs.
Besides, there were also injury marks of bombs and bullets in the bodies of militants Bely, Karima and Alamin, the doctor added.
Doctors conducted autopsy of the five bodies from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
Hifzul Alam Munshi, officer-in-charge of Godagari Police Station, said that the bodies have been kept in the hospital morgue.
Five suspected militants, including a woman, and a firefighter were killed in ‘suicide blasts’ and gunshots fired by ‘militants’ as law enforcers raided the militant hideout on Thursday morning.
