Additional District and Sessions Judge Abdul Hamid handed down the verdict after examining the records and witnesses.

The lifers are Jewel Bhoumik, a resident of Dattakhila village, Maloy Datta, a resident of Nagargati village of Kalmakanda upazila, and his mother Suniti Rani Datta.

Among the convicts, Jewel Bhoumik was tried in absentia.

The court also fined the trio Tk 20,000 each, in default, to suffer two years more of rigorous imprisonment.
