Jhenidah: Four bombs and two suicidal vests were recovered from one of the two suspected militant hideouts at Chuadanga village in Jhenidah Sadar upazila on Tuesday.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-6 commanding officer Major Monir Ahmed said during an operation at a 'militant hideout' owned by Pranto, the bomb disposal unit of RAB recovered four bombs in the afternoon.

Besides, they also recovered two suicidal vests from a bamboo cluster near the house, he said.

A bomb disposal unit of RAB cordoned off two 'militant hideouts' at the village and started their operation at about 11:50am.

Members of the elite force and local police cordoned off the two houses, one owned by Selim and another by Pranto, adjacent to a camp of RAB-6 since early morning, said the RAB official.

The elite force also arrested the house owners from the spot.

However, the RAB members are conducting drive in the house owned by Selim.
