RAB cordon off Narsingdi ‘militant den’

Narsingdi: Members of law enforcement agencies cordoned off a house at Gabtoli village (Uttar) in Narsingdi Sadar upazila suspecting it a militant hideout since Saturday afternoon.
Mufti Mahmud Khan, legal and media wing director of Rapid Action Battalion, said there might be five suspected militants inside the house.
The law enforcers will ask them to surrender, said Mufti adding that the law enforcers will start an operation if the house inmates do not surrender.
A team of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) headquarters and local police encircled the one-story building owned by Dubai expatriate Moin Ahmed at about 4:30pm, said assistant police super of RAB Atiur Rahman.
A RAB team, led by commanding officer of RAB-11 Kamrul Hasan, will conduct operation in the den after members of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police reached the spot, he said.
