2 killed in road accident

Bogra: Two people were killed when a pick-up van collided with a truck at Baghopara of sadar upazila in Bogra in the early hours of Tuesday.

Sadar executive officer Shahana Akhter said a pick-up van from Rangpur collided with a sand-laden truck on the Bogra-Rangpur Highway and left two killed in the spot.

The deceased are the pick-up driver’s assistant, Assaduzzaman, in his twenties, and a pedestrian, Rahela, in his fifties.

Police and fire fighters recovered the bodies and sent them to Bogra Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue.
