Gazipur: An alleged criminal was killed in a reported gunfight with members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Haidarabad area of Gazipur in the early hours of Tuesday.

The deceased is Mamun, a resident of Tongi area.

The Joydebpur police said the law enforcers took the bullet injured Mamun to Gazipur Shahid Tajuddin Medical College Hospital where doctors declared Mamun dead early in the morning.

RAB also recovered a pistol from his possession.

No details of the gunfight could be availed immediately from RAB.
