Cops cordon off ‘militant den’ in Rajshahi, 3 held

Rajshahi: Law enforcers detained three alleged militants, including two siblings, from a suspected hideout they cordoned off at Dangapara village in Tanore upazila of Rajshahi early on Monday.
The detainees are—two siblings Ibrahim and Ishrafil and Robiul.
Subit Chowdhury, additional superintendent of Police in Rajshahi, said that a joint team of police and detective branch of police (DB) cordoned off a house at the village in Panchandar union suspecting it a militant den since 12:00midnight on Monday.
Later, they conducted a drive at the house.
The team recovered suicidal vests and a large number of pistols and bullets from the house and suspects there are more explosives inside the house, said the police official.
The police official added that they have requested for a bomb disposal unit from Dhaka.
