Comilla:  Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Friday said BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s comment about Prime Minister’s Sheikh Hasina Sweden tour during the hillslides incident is the ugly manifestation of her blind rage.

Obaidul Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, came up with the remark while talking to reporters after inaugurating the extension work of Meghna‐Gumti Bridge Toll Plaza Online Web Based Excel Load Webbing Scale System.

Khaleda Zia on Thursday slammed her arch rival Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for going to Sweden at a time when hillslides played havoc with people’s lives in four districts.

‘She’s been on a pleasure trip though 155 people, including army personnel, were killed in landslides as she has no affection for people, ‘ she said.

Quader said the BNP leaders are shedding crocodile tears for the landslides victims staying in Dhaka.

‘They did not visit haor areas, coastal areas and even in hill areas. They did not stand beside victims,’ he said adding the BNP leaders are spreading false propaganda through press briefing.
