A Khulna activist of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) was hacked to death at Daulatpur in the city on Tuesday night.

Police said a group of miscreants swooped on Abdullah Al Faysal Shiblu, 26, a resident of Deyana village under Daulatpur Police Station, while he was returning home around 11:15pm, reports UNB.

The miscreants hacked Shiblu, a 4th year student of Khulna BL College, indiscriminately, leaving him injured.

Later, he was taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 12:00 am, said Anwar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Daulatpur Police Station.

‘It is still not clear what prompted the miscreants to kill Shiblu,’ said the OC.

Tariqul Islam, joint secretary of Khulna city unit of BNP, said that Shiblu was involved in the politics of JCD, a student wing of BNP. He condemned the killing incident of his party man and demanded immediate arrest of the killers.
