Munshiganj: The Dhaka-Chittagong Highway is experiencing at 8km tailback at Gazaria on Munshiganj as the Eid day is coming closer.

The busy highway faced the gridlock on Friday morning as the number of vehicles started to increase with time.

The Bhaberchar Highway police post sub-inspector (SI) Hashem Ali Munshi said the line of vehicles became longer as the day progressed. As the Eid vacation began on Friday, people started leaving the city to celebrate the festival.

The members of highway police are working the control the rush-hour traffic on the highway.
