Lalmonirhat: The body of a member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Sumon Hawladar, who had earlier gone missing in the River Teesta, were recovered from the river on Wednesday morning.

Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) recovered the body from the Indian part of Teesta River, BGB sources said.

BSF handed over the body to BGB around 10:30am in Dahagram border following a flag meeting.

Earlier on Tuesday, Suman went missing in the Teesta River in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat while chasing smugglers.
