Jhenidah: A student of Dhaka University was killed and 4 people were injured in a road accident in Gulshan intersection in Kaliganj, Jhenaidah on Saturday morning.

The deceased was Aminul Islam, son of Jainal Bepari of Baghdanga village in the upazila and a master’s student of Peace and Conflict Studies department of the university.

The accident took place in the area at about 11:00am when a Kaliganj-bound human hauler carrying five passengers hit a stationary truck, leaving Aminul dead on the spot and four other passengers injured, said Kaliganj police officer in-charge Anwar Hossain.

The injured were Mini Khatun, Ritu Khatun, Sattar and Iqbal of the village.
