Satkhira: Police recovered the body of a man, who was shot to death by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) members on Kushkhali border in the early hours of Saturday, from a field at Badhilki village in Sadar upazila early on Sunday.

The deceased is Mukul Hossain, in his thirties, resident of village.

The Sadar police said a team of police recovered the body from a field at Badhilki village at about 12:30am.

The body was sent to Satkhira Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Earlier, BSF troops from Dubli camp opened fire on a group of Bangladeshi men, including Mukul, while they were returning homes with cattle at about 3:00am on Saturday, leaving him dead on the spot.
