Narayanganj: Chief Justice Surendra kumar Sinha on Sunday removed two judges of Narayanganj after getting allegations of corruption from lawyers.

After visiting different departments of Narayanganj Court, the chief justice exchanged views with lawyers.

He said ‘Honest judges will be appointed in Narayanganj removing corrupt ones.’

Before that, several lawyers led by senior lawyer Mahbubur Rahman Masum met chief justice at the office of senior district sessions judge Enayet Hossain.

There the chief justice decided to remove subjudge-1 and subjudge-2 after the lawyers brought allegation of corruption against the two judges.

Surendra Kumar Sinha was given Guard of Honour by the local administration after he arrived at Narayanganj circuit house at about 9:05am.

After that he had talks with senior district sessions judge Syed Enayet Hossain, Deputy Commissioner Md Anisur Rahman Mia, and Superintendent of Police Khandakar Mahid Uddin.

Later, he observed the works of several courts and visited different departments.

Sources said, the chief justice expressed anger over the procrastination in case proceedings.
