Sylhet: A Sylhet court on Thursday placed two accused of Rajon murder case- Nur Miah and Dulal Hossain on seven-day police custody.

Sylhet Metropolitan Magistrate Anwarul Haque passed the order after police produced them before his court seeking a 10-day police custody, said ADC of Sylhet Metropolitan Police Rahmant Ullah.

Earlier, locals caught Dulal from Pirpur and Nur Miah from Jangail on Wednesday noon and night respectively and handed over them to Jalalabad Police Station.

Nur Miah reportedly took the video footage of the murder incident and released it on the internet.

Thirteen year old boy Sheikh Samiul Alam Rajon, son of Sheikh Azizur Rahman of Badeali village in sadar upazila, was brutally tortured to death over a theft at Sundar Ali Market in Kumargaon area of the city on 8 July.

The killers themselves took the video footage of the incident and uploaded it on the internet.

The video clip went viral on social networking site Facebook and video-sharing site Youtube which caused an outcry.
