Narail: Police recovered the throat-slit body of a sexagenarian woman from Auria union parishad in Sadar upazila of Narail on Friday.

The deceased is Ajiron Begum, wife of Billal Sheikh of Sharatala village of the union.

Locals found the body of Ajiron, left lying in a pool of blood on the floor of her residence in the village in the morning and informed police.

Police rushed to the house, recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

The victims husband Billal Sheikh has been at large since the incident and police suspect Billal might have killed his wife over some family dispute.
