Munsiganj: Four people, including a couple, were killed and 15 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a human hauler on Dhaka-Mawa highway at Sirajdikhan upazila in Munsiganj on Wednesday.

The deceased are Rasel, in his thirties, of Hasara in Srinagar upazila, his wife Sima Begum, human hauler driver Ershad, of Hasara, and Madhuri Akhter, 18, of Laxmibilas village in Sirajdikhan upazila.

The injured people have been admitted to local upazila health complex. Traffic movement on the highway remained suspended for almost 50 minutes after the accident.

District Superintendent of Police Biplab Bijoy Talukdar said the four people died on the spot and the injured were taken to local hospital.
