Munshiganj: Ferry and speed-boat services on Shimuliya-Kawrakandi route remain suspended for the second consecutive day for bad weather.

Shimuliya River Port’s traffic inspector Tofazzal Hossain said the authorities on Sunday noon decided to stop the plying of ferry, speed boat, sea-boat, trawler and small boats through the route to avoid accident as the weather turned rough and there was strong current in the river.

He said services will resume once the situation becomes normal.
