Brahmanbaria: The train communication of Chittagong with Dhaka and Sylhet resumed on Thursday afternoon after three hours of suspension following derailment of a train in Kasba, Brahmanbaria.

Railway sources said four wheels of a bogie of the Chittagong-bound container train from Dhaka veered off the tracks near Kasba railway station at about 12:00pm, halting train communications on Chittagong-Dhaka and Chittagong Sylhet routes.

However, the train services on the two routes resumed at about 3:00pm after a relief train from Akhaura salvaged the derailed compartments.
