Munshiganj: Ferry service on the Shimulia-Kawrakandi route resumed on Sunday morning after 20 hours of disruption due to adverse weather.

BIWTC assistant manager in Shimulia SM Ashikuzzaman said the ferry and speedboat services were suspended on Saturday morning as there was strong current in the Padma River triggered by the cyclonic storm Komen.

Ferry and speedboat services resumed for several times but had to be suspended again for strong current in the river at about 9:00am on Saturday, added the official.
