Barguna: Only a few hours after the brutal killing of 12-year-old boy Rakib in Khulna, another minor boy, aged 10, was allegedly tortured to death on theft charge at Taltali upazila in Barguna.

The deceased, Rabiul Awal, a Madrassah student of class IV, was found dead at Amkhola village on Tuesday afternoon.
Local people found the body of Rabiul lying near a canal in the village and informed his parents.

Rabiul’s father, Dulal Mridha, identified the body, and called police. Later, police recovered the body and sent to Barguna General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Dulal Mridha said his neighbour Miraz used to catch fishes from Lutrar canal beside their resident.

Few days back, Miraz brought charge over Rabiul for thieving his fishes, said Rabiul’s father.

Dulal brought allegation against Miraz for killing Rabiul for thieving his fishes.

Rabiul’s relative said Miraz went on missing immediately after the incident.

Rabiul’s cousin Shahida said pulled Rabiul’s eye out and beat him with crowbar.

The Barguna police said injury marks are found on the body’s eye.
