Chittagong: A license worker was killed as a trolley ran over him at Chittagong Port in the early hours on Friday.

The deceased is Mohammad Abul Bashar, in his thirties, hailed from Char Fakira village under Companyganj upazila of Noakhali district.

Nayek Mohammad Jahangir of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police outpost said Bashar received serious injury when the trolley ran over him as he was doing container handling work at a container terminal in the port at about 4.30am.

He was rushed to CMCH where the attending doctors declared him dead.
