Khulna: Rakib, the 12-year-old boy who was brutally tortured to death allegedly by his employers in Khulna city on 3 August, died due to excessive internal bleeding in his abdomen following the torture, said the autopsy report on Saturday.

Doctor Mohammad Wahid Mahmud Robin of Khulna Medical College Hospital conducted the postmortem.

Sub-inspector Kazi Mostak Ahmed, who is the investigate officer of the case filed in this connection, received the report from the forensic department at noon.

The report said as an air-compressor was pressed into the anus of the minor boy for pumping air into his abdomen it caused excessive bleeding in his abdomen, leading to his death.

The report narrated how horrifyingly the boy was tortured and how it caused his death, said the SI.

However, demonstrations demanding immediate trial of Rakib killers continued in the district for the 5th day today.

Earlier on 3 August, only 26 days into the brutal killing of teenage boy Rajon, Rakib, who used to work at a motorcycle garage at Tutpara Central Road in Khulna city, was tortured to death by his employers over quitting job.

Victim’s father filed the case with Sadar Police Station against three people -- Sharif, Mintu and their mother Beauty Akhter -- on Tuesday. Police also arrested Beauty as she was present during the incident on the spot.

On 4 August, SI Kazi Mostaque Ahmed produced the three accused-- motorcycle garage owner Sharif, his mother Beauty and Mintu -- before the court and sought a10-day police custody against Beauty Akhter.

Police will seek remand against the two other accused as soon as their health condition improves. The duo was injured in a mob beating following the death of Rakib and is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital in police custody.
