2 war crimes accused among 6 hurt in road accident

Gazipur: Two war crimes accused, who were held from Mymensingh, were injured when a prison van that was carrying them collided with a bus at Rajendrapur in Gazipur on Wednesday morning.
Four police officials were also injured during the accident.
The Naujor Highway police said a Netrakona-bound bus from Dhaka collided with the prison van at Rajendrapur at about 8:00am, leaving two war crimes accused and four police members injured.
Police said the injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. One of the injured is in critical condition.
Earlier, police arrested two suspected war crimes accused, Hazi Amjad Ali and Riaz Uddin Fakir, from Fulbaria on Tuesday afternoon.
Amjad Ali was held from Keshoreganj village and Riaz Uddin from Bhalukjan village.
International Crimes Tribunal issued an arrest warrant for them.
The detainees were being taken to Dhaka by the prison van to be produced before the tribunal.
