Brahmanbaria: A woman and her three-month-old baby were found dead at Ashurail village in Nasirnagar upazila, Brahmanbaria in the early hours of Friday.

The deceased is Farzana Akter, a resident of Ashurail village, and her three-month-old son Tanvir Mia.

Police said being informed by local people, police recovered hanging body of Farzana from a tree near her house and that of her son from inside their house at about 5:00am.

Nur Mia, husband of Farzana, was at his home during the incident and he is scheduled to leave the country on Saturday.

Police suspected that Farzana might have killed her baby boy and then committed suicide by hanging herself from a tree over a family feud at sometime in the night.

However, police could not arrest anyone.

The bodies were taken to Nasirnagar Police Station.
