Comilla: A minor boy received bullet wounds in a gunfight between two criminal groups in Shuvopur area of Comilla on Sunday morning.

The injured is 4-years-old Hridoy, son of Mofiz Miah, a resident of the area.

Local people said the gunfight took place between two local criminal groups — Hasib group and Anwar group — in the area at about 9:00am over establishing supremacy.

Hridoy received bullets in his hand and belly when Nizam, a member of Hasib group, opened fire on Anwar group.

The Kotwali model police said three people were also injured during the shootout.

Later, Hridoy was taken to Comilla Medical College Hospital.
