Gopalganj: A Bangladeshi man was shot dead by miscreants in Florida, United States of America on Thursday.

Deceased Shahidul Alam, 55, is the owner of a department store in Florida, and son of Abdul Qaium Miah of Bankpara in Gopalganj town.

Hasmat Ali Shikdar Chunnu, brother-in-law (sister’s husband) of the victim, said a group of 4-5 miscreants opened fire on Shahidul in front of his residence while he was entering it at about 10:00pm on Wednesday (local time), leaving him dead on the spot.  

The motive behind the killing could not be known immediately.
