Bhola: A man was killed after receiving a punch in a bid to stop quarrel between his two brothers-in-law at Dakshin Koralia village in Sadar upazila of Bhola on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased is around 50-year-old Afsar Kazi.

The Bhola Sadar police said two siblings Alauddin and Hanif Biswas locked into an altercation centring a land-related dispute.

At one stage, they attacked each other.

As their brother-in-law Afsar moved forward to stop them, he was punched by Alauddin.

Later he was taken to Bhola Sadar Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
