3 ‘Arakan Army’ men to be quizzed
Rangamati: The court on Sunday remanded three suspected Arakan Army members to five-day police custody for quizzing.
Rangamati senior judicial magistrate Hakim Ali Akkas granted the custody in the presence of three arrestees including Aung Naung Rakhain at about 11:30am.
Earlier on 26 August, joint force of BGB and army held suspected Arakan Army member, Rakhain, from Taitangpara of Rajasthali in Rangamati. Police said the joint force also seized horses, laptop, camera, and uniforms of Arakan Army from his possession.
Later, on 28 August, police held two suspected Arakan Army members, Mong Chu Aung Marma, and Josho Aung Marma, from the house used by the rebel organisation in Rajasthali.
Cases were filed against them in this connection.
Police on Saturday appealed for a ten-day custody for quizzing the suspected Arakan Army members.
