Magura: A woman received severe burn injuries as miscreants threw acid on her on the District and Sessions Judge’s Court compound in the Magura town on Monday night.

The victim is Selina Khatun, believed to be 35, wife of Amirul Islam of Nijnanduali Madhyapara of Magura.

Selina works as an office assistant to District and Sessions Judge Mahfuza Begum.

The Magura police said miscreants threw acid on Selina while she was returning home from the judge’s house on the court compound at about 9:00pm.

Later, she was taken to Magura Sadar Hospital.

Following a written complaint lodged by the victim, police arrested three people—Selim, son Javed, and Champa.
