Sylhet: Body of a Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) student was found hanging from a window grill at his house in Surma residential area of Akhalia on Thursday night.

The deceased is Shahriar Mazumdar, a year VI student of department of architecture of the university. Shahriar was a resident of Pahartali in Chittagong.

Shahriar’s roommates said getting no response from the room of Shahriar at about 9:00pm, they tried to peek through the ventilator and discovered his body was hanging from a window with a belt.

Later, they broke the door and called the police.

Police recovered the body and sent to Osmani Medical College morgue for an autopsy.

The Sylhet police said no injury marks were found in the body. Police has already started investigating the unnatural death.

A case was also filed in this connection.
