Nilphamari: A passenger plane of private airline, US-Bangla, skidded off the runway at Syedpur Airport in Nilphamari on Friday morning.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) officials said the plane services of Syedpur Airport has been halted due to the accident.

No casualty was recorded in this accident.

CAAB public relation officer AKM Rejaul Karim said the plane from Dhaka slide off the runway at about 7:30am when the left rear wheel of the aircraft misplaced during take-off.

The passengers of the plane were recovered immediately after the accident.

Rejaul said the aircraft was trapped in the runway till 11:00am.

The airport authorities said Army members are working to recover and repairing the aircraft.
