Rizvi on 3-day fresh remand

A Dhaka court on Monday placed BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on a fresh three-day remand in an arson case filed with Jatrabari police station in capital.
DB Sub-Inspector Bashir Ahmed produced Rizvi before the court with a 10-day remand plea.
After hearing, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Maruf Hossain granted 3 days.
The court has also directed the investigation officer to ensure medical and other opportunities for Rizvi.
This is the 4th time Rizvi has been taken on remand in this case.
On January 23, Miscreants hurled firebomb to a bus at the Katherpool area of Jatrabari at about 10:00pm. 29 passengers including 3 women were injured in the attack. Later, one died in hospital. On January 24, Jatrabari police sub-inspector KM Nuruzzaman filed two cases over the incident naming Khaleda as instigator. The names of Eighteen BNP leaders including Rizvi were also included in the cases.
