RMG trader to be quizzed ‘for financing militants’
Chittagong: A court in Chittagong on Sunday granted police to quiz garment trader Enamul Haque, arrested for financing banned militant outfit Shaheed Hamza Brigade (SHB), for five days.
Judge of Banshkhali Senior Judicial Magistrate Court Sazzad Hossain passed the order after members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) produced him before the court seeking seven-day police custody.
On Saturday afternoon, members of RAB-7 arrested Enamul, owner of a garment factory named ‘Golden Touch Apparels’ in Turag, from Taltala in Turag area of the capital Dhaka at about 2:30pm on charge of financing banned militant outfit Shaheed Hamza Brigade (SHB).
Later, Enamul was shown arrested in a case filed over recovery of huge explosives and firearms from inside a hill in Banshkhali upazila of the district in February last.
