Abducted minor boy rescued

Rajshahi: Detectives rescued a minor boy from Shah Makhdum area of the city on Tuesday evening four days after his abduction.
The rescued is Meherab Hossain, 3 years old boy, son of Enamul Haque, a resident of Jamghora village of Ashulia on the outskirts of the capital.
Detective Branch also arrested Abhi Ahmed, a resident of Noakhali district, in this connection.
Eftekhayer Alam, assistant commissioner of the Detective Branch of Police of Rajshahi, said at a press briefing that Abhi, a garment worker, used to live in the house of Meherab.
He abducted Meherab from his house on 5 September.
Later he demanded Tk3 lakh as ransom over phone.
The victim’s family also gave them Tk 15,000 through mobile banking system bKash.
Meherab’s family filed a case with Ashulia police in this connection.
On secret information that Abhi was staying in his father-in-law’s house, DB conducted a drive in the area at about 6:00pm and arrested him.
They also rescued Meherab from the house.
