Teacher, journo among 7 hurt in capital bomb blasts

Dhaka: Seven people, including a journalist and a college teacher, were injured as miscreants blasted six crude bombs in capital’s Nilkhet, Shahabag and Dhaka University areas Tuesday evening amid the BNP-led 20-Party Alliance’s 72-hour hartal.
At Shahabag, three crude bombs went off in between 6:15 and 6:30pm, leaving Selina, a college teacher by profession, and her husband Salam injured. They were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
On the other hand, miscreants threw a crude bomb targeting a vehicle of Asian Television near TSC (Teachers-Students Centre) of Dhaka University leaving reporter Arafat injured.
Besides, two crude bombs exploded at Nilkhet at about 7:45pm, leaving rickshaw-puller Rajon, Aminul, Badal; and pedestrian Prem Babu injured.
