Jessore: Robbers looted TK 21 lakh from Rajarhat branch of Agrani Bank in Sadar upazila in Jessore in the early hours of Friday.

The heist came to light when local people found the grill of a window of the state-owned bank broken in the morning.

The Kotwali police said the burglars looted TK 21 lakh breaking the bank vault sometime at night after tying up its two night guards and escaped safely.

Later, local people called the police and they rescued the night guards.
