Kushtia: An electrician died while another got injured from electrocution in Balurmath area in Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia on Friday.

The deceased is Monirul Islam Mono, in his thirties, a resident of Taltola village in Daulatpur upazila of the district.

Locals said Mono and Tarek came in contact with a live wire while repairing a 12,000 volt electric line in the area at about 11:00am, leaving Mono dead on the spot and Tarek critically injured.

Later, co-workers rescued Tarek and sent him to a local hospital.
