Dhaka: State Minister for Jute and Textile Mirza Azam said the government would provide all out support to the RMG exporters who would make their products using local fabrics.

‘The government will provide support to the RMG exporters who will make their products using local fabrics with a view to expanding country’s small and medium textile industries, reducing import of raw materials for RMG products and increasing export of textile products,’ he said.

The state minister said this at an exchange of views with a delegation of Bangladesh Specialised Textile Mills and Power Loom Industries.

Mirza Azam said the machineries used in weaving industry have been upgraded now adding that all fabrics used in RMG will be produced using this modern machineries.

Bangladesh Specialised Textile Mills and Powerloom Industries president Azizul Haque highlighted the problems and the possibilities of weaving industry.

The state minister assured the delegation of solving their problems quickly.
