Dhaka: Abdul Matlub Ahmad, President of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FBCCI) today sought Turkish investment in the country’s Ready-Made Garment (RMG) and furniture sectors.

He made the appeal at a meeting between the FBCCI delegation and Turkish 23-member business team in the city.

Matlub also called upon the team to invest in the construction, textile and PVC-pipe manufacturing.

He said Turkey is the country’s genuine friend and development partner.  The visit will further facilitate the existing trade and business relation between the two friendly countries, he added.

The visiting team expressed keen interest to import necessary products from Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Businessmen also could import the potential products from Turkey, the team added.

Directors of FBCCI and the representatives of different Chambers and Associations were also present.
