Shore to Shore now with GT Nexus
Dhaka: Shore to Shore Textiles, a Bangladeshi manufacturer of undergarments for both men and women from now on will be doing business on GT Nexus, the world’s largest cloud-based business network, which facilitates global trade and supply chain management.
This was a remarkable leap for Shore to Shore, as the garments company has joined the global business giants like adidas Group, Caterpillar, Citi, Columbia Sportswear, DHL, Electrolux, Levi Strauss & Co., Nestlé, and Sears that also ‘share GT Nexus as their standard, multi-enterprise collaboration platform.’
A press release, dated 24 February, from Shore to Shore said that GT Nexus had announced that Shore to Shore Textiles would be ‘tapping the GT Nexus network to obtain access to capital to fund its business and improve performance.’
‘We are able to ease capital related challenges by transacting on the GT Nexus network,’ said Rakibur Rahman, General Manager at Shore to Shore which is expected to avert payment hassles by using this Infor company network.
Rakibur Rahman also added: ‘In a single automated environment, we receive orders, submit invoices and receive funding from RTS International, a finance provider on the network. We know exactly when we will get paid, and it’s within days.’
Established in 2006, Shore to Shore Textiles has an yearly turnover of $50 million. The company serves major global brands such as Charles Komar, Ariel Alpha, Calzedonia, H&M, M&S, Celio, Next, Cubus, Jules and Charlott.
