'Challenge with Colours' makeup contest begins 29 Dec
A unique makeup contest, Challenge with Colours, will begin from 29 December. Holding the slogan ‘Rangiye Tolo Tomar Sapno’ (Colour your dreams), the contest is jointly arranged by NTV Online (www.ntvbd.com) and Woman’s World.
The contest will find out 10 potential beauticians. Among them, the first three will get Tk 1 lakh.
A press conference was arranged in this connection on 27 December at Platinum Suites at Banani in the capital. Woman’s World head and beauty expert Farnaz Alam addressed the media about the contest.
She said, ‘This is one of my dream projects. I had a similar platform at L’Oréal. After coming back to Bangladesh, I wanted to launch a similar platform where people will get the chance to showcase their potentials. There are people in our country who want to prove their skills but can’t due to lack of adequate opportunities. Challenge with Colours will be a great platform for them.’
Head of NTV Online Fakaruddin Jewel said, ‘Apart from everyday news, NTV Online has planned a makeup contest with a different touch. The plan — providing practical training on makeup and beautification — we have taken will give Bangladesh some quality beauty expert.’
‘New entrepreneurs in the beauty sector will get opportunity to show their potential through this contest. I think Challenge of Colours will be an effective platform for them’, said Wedding Diary chief photographer Prito Reza.
NTV Online Chief of Business Kabir Ahmed said, ‘The completion will prove being a beauty expert one can build a successful career. I hope we will get new entrepreneurs in this sector from across the country.’
The press conference was facilitated by NTV Online assistant marketing manager Ruhul Amin Rony.
Special campaigns for the contest will be launched at five private universities. Prito Reza Production is the visual partner of the contest while Platinum Suites is the Hospitality Partner.
Process of finding Beauticians
Any Bangladeshi citizen can participate in this beautification contest. To participate, one has to select any three looks from the given 12 looks on NTV Online page (www.ntvbd.com/challenge-with-colors). You have to reproduce the select three looks — you can either adorn yourself or anyone else — and send photographs of them via www.ntvbd.com/challenge-with-colors.
One can send photos till 16 January 2016. Top 40 photographs will be displayed on www.ntvbd.com/challenge-with-colors on 20 January. Best 10 photos will be select through a readers’ poll. Voting will continue till 30 January.
Ten select winners from the poll will be groomed in Dhaka on 3-4 February. Famous beauty experts in the country will conduct the grooming sessions. Best three contestants will be selected with 6-8 February from the elected ten participants.
On 10 February Woman’s World director Farnaz Alam will hand over the prizes among the winners through a colourful ceremony at a hotel in the capital.
